The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Itesiwaju Local Government, Oyo State, held its monthly statutory meeting on Thursday at the Hon. Kola Olabiyi Hall, Idipe, Okaka, with an impressive and unprecedented turnout of party leaders, stakeholders, and members from all ten wards of the council.

The meeting was further boosted by the presence of supporters of Senator Hosea Agboola (Halleluyah), who came out in large numbers from various wards to demonstrate their renewed commitment, loyalty, and solidarity with the party’s structure in Itesiwaju Local Government.
In his remarks, party leaders stressed the importance of unity and strategic mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming national APC membership registration exercise. Discussions also centred on preparations for the 2027 general elections, with members unanimously reaffirmed their resolve to reclaim Oyo State for the APC and deliver a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Participants at the meeting commended President Tinubu for his ongoing efforts in tackling insurgency, terrorism, and banditry, as well as for the economic reforms which, they noted, are gradually beginning to stabilise national economic indicators and restore investor confidence.
Goodwill messages were delivered by distinguished personalities including former Senator of Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Hosea Agboola, the Chief Financial Officer(CFO), FGN Power Company Limited, Hon. Kola Olabiyi, and former NCC Chairman, Prof. Adeolu Akande, all of whom emphasised the need for cohesion, discipline, and proactive political engagement at the grassroots.
All ward chairmen across the ten wards were represented, except for the Ward 06 Chairman who was unavoidably absent.
The Local Government Executive Committee attended in full strength, led by the LG Chairman alongside the Woman Leader, Youth Leader, General Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant General Secretary, Assistant Youth Leader, Public Relations Officer, Organising Secretary, five Ex-Officio members, Legal Adviser, Financial Secretary, Assistant Financial Secretary, Assistant Organising Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, and Welfare Officer. Notably absent were the Assistant Chairman, Assistant Woman Leader, and three other officers who all sent in their apologies.
Prominent party elders and stakeholders in attendance included Surveyor John Siyanbola, Mr. Dele Akinlaye, Pa Itiade Odeyemi, Pa Ojekunle Fabiyi Jimoh, Pa Baaleagbe Sakariyahu, Hon. Aiki, Pa Adebisi Adejumobi, Pa George Adigun, Baba Jagunde, Pa Onaolapo Timothy, Simeon Adekalu, Osuolale Dikrullahi, Hon. Kayode Adeniji, Kehinde Oyetoro, as well as several former Local Government Chairmen.
Also present were notable figures from the Halleluyah Political Movement, including former Itesiwaju LG Chairman, Hon. Ojo Akintola; former PDP LG Chairman, Hon. Oladosu Hosea; Peter Olanrewaju Owoiya; Segun Jokanola; Barr. Ogunjimi; former PDP Woman Leader, Mrs. Bamidele Dupe; Mr. Sulaimon Babayemi; Hon. Jimoh Bolarinwa; Hon. Adenrele Adebisi; former PDP Youth Leader, Julius Farounbi; Hon. Bolanle Sola; among others.
The meeting ended on a highly optimistic note, with stakeholders expressed confidence that the renewed synergy within the party will translate into electoral victories in the coming political cycles.
