A socio-political movement providing support to the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotel and Resorts Oyo-Dotun Solidarity Group, Engr. Jibril Dotun Sanusi, has felicitated with him on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary, describing him as a visionary leader and an illustrious son of Oyo State whose contributions to humanity and community development remain immeasurable.
In a goodwill message made available to newsmen on Friday, October 17, 2025 by the media team of the support group, the Oyo-Dotun Solidarity Group commended Engr Sanusi, who is also the Okanlomo of Oodua, for his unrelenting passion for people’s empowerments, human capital development across the state, as well as the promotion of unity and progress among various peoples of Oyo State and beyond.
The congratulatulatory statement highlighted Engr Sanusi’s outstanding records as a philanthropist, business mogul, and nation builder who continues to inspire hope and transformation through his investments in education, tourism, youth developments, and sports.
The support group emphasized that the initiatives of the Okanlomo of Oodua, particularly through his Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts, have positioned Oyo State as a centre of excellence in sports hospitality and tourism.
While lauding his benevolent personality, the Oyo-Dotun Solidarity Group described the philanthropist, fondly called JDS by friends and associates, as a rare gem who has consistently demonstrated humility, generosity, and foresight in advancing the welfare of his people.
The group noted that his numerous empowerment programmes, scholarship schemes, and infrastructural interventions have positively touched many lives across the state, cutting across political, ethnic, and religious divides.
The support group further acknowledges the societal imparts of Engr Sanusi, whom it described as a man of uncommon vision, a philanthropist par excellence and a progressive leader whose life embodies service, sacrifice and excellence.
