The Temidayo Oniosun Foundation has successfully concluded the 2025 Inter-Secondary Schools Quiz Competition, a flagship educational initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence, digital literacy, and healthy competition among students across Oyo State.
The Grand Finale was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Okaka Community Grammar School Hall, Okaka, Oyo State. The event brought together principals, teachers, students, education stakeholders, and invited guests who gathered to celebrate young talents and intellectual achievement.

Speaking at the event, the programme coordinator, Olayemi Ogunjimi on behalf of the Managing Director of the Foundation, Mrs. Modupeola Temidayo, welcomed all guests and participants and explained that the quiz competition was established to: encourage students to strive for academic excellence and intellectual curiosity, promote digital literacy and prepare learners for computer-based examinations such as JAMB. foster teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving skills among secondary school students, and support the Foundation’s broader mission of empowering young people through education, innovation, and technology.
The competition featured both private and public secondary schools from Itesiwaju and Iseyin Local Governments. The first and second stages, conducted on October 14 and October 21, 2025, respectively, were held in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format at the Temidayo Oniosun Foundation ICT Centre, Okaka Community Grammar School, Okaka.
The CBT format was adopted to: help students gain familiarity with digital examinations. ensure fairness, speed, and accuracy in scoring and promote ICT competence and confidence among learners.
After the preliminary rounds, ten (10) schools advanced to the final stage and qualified for the grand finale.
The Grand Finale featured intense competition among the best-performing schools, with questions drawn from English Language, Mathematics, ICT, and Current Affairs. Contestants demonstrated exceptional brilliance, teamwork, and composure throughout the session.
At the end of the thrilling contest, the following schools emerged winners:
• 🥇 First Place: Greater Love Model Schools, Iseyin, Iseyin LG
• 🥈 Second Place: First Baptist College, Out, Itesiwaju LG
• 🥉 Third Place: Kelani College, Iseyin, Iseyin LG
All other participating schools received Certificates of Participation and other gift items.
In his closing remarks, a representative of the foundation, Mr. Rasaq Taiwo congratulated all participants and reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to improving educational standards through technology and innovation.
He noted that the quiz competition aligns with the Foundation’s mission to equip young Nigerians with knowledge and digital skills that prepare them for future opportunities in a fast-changing world.
The event ended with a photo session, refreshments, and celebration of academic brilliance — marking another milestone in the Foundation’s ongoing effort to transform education through innovation and opportunity.
