- As Jumat Prayer Held in Respect of 2024 Oyo NUJ Press Week
The Ayedero of Yorubaland and former member of the House of Representatives for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon.(Chief) Shina Abiola Peller has reiterated commitment to the completion of mosque, in Oyo NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan, before March 2025.
The Ex Reps Member made this pledge via the State’s Council Chairman, Comrade(Chief) Ademola Babalola shortly after Jumat service marking the end of a week long celebration of the year 2024 press week.
Iseyin-born socialite and politician expressed his firm stance on completion of the mosque which has only gotten to the lintel level.
It would be recalled that, Peller, the major financial of the mosque began supporting the construction of the edifice during this year’s ramadan lecture hosted by NUJ, Oyo State Council.
In their appreciation, the Chief Imam, Ustadh Ibrahim Al-Ameen and members of the congregation showered encomiums on him and however prayed for his advancement in all endeavours of life.
In a related development, jumat prayer was held in respect of a week long 2024 Oyo NUJ Press Week celebration where Chief Imam, Ustadh Ibrahim Al-Ameen gave sermon on bizarre happenings connecting with dawn of the world, and appraisal of the celebration among others.
Among members of congregation who attended Jumat prayer were Chief Ademola Babalola, Union’s Vice Chairman/ Chairman Planning Committee for the Press Week, Comrade Seye Ojo, Treasurer of the union, Comrade Akeem Abass, Chairman Correspondence Chapel, Comrade Raji Adebayo, Secretary, Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel, Comrade Khalid Imran, and the entire Muslim Ummah respectively .
