Senator Alli Cheers Alaafin Owoade on Birthday, Hails Leadership
Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has extended warm birthday greetings to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo, on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Media Office and made available to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan.
Alli, who is also the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, described the traditional ruler as a symbol of royalty, wisdom and cultural pride.
He praised Oba Owoade for his commitment to the promotion of Yoruba tradition, peace and unity among his people, especially since his ascension to the revered throne of the Alaafin.
The lawmaker lauded Oba Owoade’s contributions to community development, justice and youth empowerment, noting that the entire Oyo Kingdom has continued to benefit from his purposeful reign.
“As Alaafin, Oba Owoade has displayed rare courage, maturity and compassion. His reign has rekindled pride in our culture and strengthened unity within Oyo and beyond,” Alli stated.
Senator Alli prayed for long life, wisdom, and sound health for Oba Owoade, while urging the people of Oyo to continue supporting him in his drive to preserve the legacy of the Alaafin stool.
He reaffirmed his respect and admiration for the traditional ruler, describing him as a father figure and royal icon who has brought dignity and honour to the traditional institution.
Alli concluded by wishing the royal father a joyous celebration and more fulfilling years in service to humanity and Yoruba land.
