The Pioneer Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in Iseyin/Itesiwaju Area Command, ACP Rufus Akanle Adegoke, has expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and other key security stakeholders for their unwavering support and professionalism, as the Area Command formally relocated to its permanent site along Ogbomoso Road, Iseyin, on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Speaking during the official ceremony marking the relocation, ACP Adegoke commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Oshogbo, AIG Ekokotu Fred Emuoho, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Femi Haruna (psc+), and other senior officers for their leadership, swift responses, and commitment to maintaining peace and security in the zone.
He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Assistant Commissioners of Police, the in charge of operations, Oyo State, ACP Olubunmi Apapa, as well as officers and men of the Iseyin Police Area Command, describing their sacrifices and dedication as instrumental to the success of the Command.
The Area Commander further expressed special gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Rasaq Fadiran, and the Chairman of Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Ojo Monsuru, for their cooperation and prompt interventions on security-related matters, which he said have strengthened peace and public safety across the local governments.
According to ACP Adegoke,.in a release to acrossnigerianews.com, he said, the relocation to the permanent site signifies a new chapter in effective policing and enhanced operational capacity within the Area Command.
“This milestone reflects the collective efforts of the Police hierarchy, government authorities, traditional institutions, and community leaders who have continued to demonstrate unwavering support for security and stability in the area,” he stated.
He also paid glowing tribute to traditional rulers, particularly the Aseyin of Iseyin, and other monarchs, also the Chairman Traditional Coumcil of Obas and other royal fathers in Itesiwaju LG and across the Area Command, for their vital roles in community engagement, intelligence gathering, and conflict resolution.
ACP Adegoke equally recognized the support of notable personalities, religious leaders, youth representatives, and community stakeholders, including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, the Immediate Past Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola (GCON), Alhaji Ahmed Raji, SAN, Alhaji Bola Azeez(BOLAMAK) and other distinguished sons and daughters of Iseyin land.
He reaffirmed the Police Command’s commitment to professionalism, community policing, and collaboration with all stakeholders, while calling for sustained partnership to further enhance security, peace, and public confidence in policing across the Area Command.
The relocation ceremony was attended by senior police officers, government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth groups, and members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), marking a significant step towards strengthened security architecture in Iseyin, Itesiwaju, and adjoining communities.
