With a view to triumphing over marginalisation, stagnance and retrogression of Oke-Ogun among other zones in Oyo State, HRM Oba Abdulrashid Adetoyese Anikulapo, the Ona-Onibode of Igboholand and HRM Oba Moses Olawale Fabiyi VI, the Onigbope of Igbopeland in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State have tasked other traditional rulers, politicians and educational class in the zone to give priority to unity, love and togetherness among one another.
The monarchs made an appeal in Igboho on Saturday, 28th December, which Oba Abdulrashid Adetoyese celebrated 15th corronation anniversary on the throne and equally installed Alhaji Olowookere Adelani Olayiwola and Alhaja Funmilayo Abiodun Olowookere as Bobagunwa and Yeye Bobagunwa of Igboholand.
While fielding questions from news men, Oba Ona-Onibode hinted that, lack of unity, love and oneness have long remained factors orchestrating marginalisation, stagnance and retrogression of Oke-Ogun among other zones Oyo State.
He called on all quarters, ranks and files in the zone to eschew bitterness, acrimony and sentiment for the progress, development and betterment of all and sundry in the Oke-Ogun.
In another vein, Oba Abdulrashid Adetoyese expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God almighty and his subjects over the feasibility of 15th corronation anniversary celebration.
He equally felicitated the new holders of Chieftaincy in the community, and however prayed God almighty to bless their installations with mercy, prosperity, happiness and strength to deliver on terms of reference.
Oba Ona-Onibode extended appreciation to all sons/daughters of the ancient town, attendees and other well-wishers for their firm stance that made the programme a reality.
In his own submission, HRM Oba Moses Olawale lamented that, it becomes disheartening and sad that the zone has not been allowed to govern the state since its creation till date.
He noted that Oke-Ogun has qualified, competent and experienced human resources who can govern the state with satisfactory results.
As 2027 political dispensation approaches, Oba Onigbope called on all traditional rulers, politicians and elites to come together and speak with one voice, in order to achieve the dream.
