As Nigerian youths are set to stage a nationwide hunger protest commencing from Thursday this week, former chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Hon. Yusuff Adejare Alaran has appealed to them to shun it, so that the planned engagement would not be hijacked by hoodlums and other unscrupulous elements.
Alaran, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) who asked people to pray for success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, made this appeal via statement which he personally signed and made available to acrossnigerianews.com
According to him, “shunning of protest which hijack by hoodlums cannot be ruled out. The president Bola Ahmed led government should be assisted by everybody prayerfully so that he can get the face of God in the handling of Nigeria myriads of problems”.
“Nigerian youths should offer constructive and novel suggestions that can be utilised as a productive option towards the mitigation of the hardship facing the citizenry”.
He added, “Tinubu is prepared to offer his best because of his cognate experience in politics and governance but we need understanding to attain a radical turn around that will lessen the pains of Nigerians not protest”.
“The scars of what happened during #ENDSARS protest is very fresh and visible in our memories and dwelling environments”.
Alaran maintained that, although peaceful protest is legitimate and statutory but the possibility of the protest turning violent and getting hijacked by unscrupulous elements in disguise wrecking more havoc on innocent people of this country is imminent”.
“let us warn our childrens, friends and loved ones to be cautious and wary, stay away and stay safe by not partaking in the protest”, Alaran advised.
