A Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alhaj Waheed Shittu Owonikoko has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde on obvious transformation which his government and governance had brought to the state.
Owonikoko who is also the leader, Shinna Peller Group ín Oyo North Senatorial District, made the appraisal in a release which he personally signed and made available to acrossnigerianews.com
While identifying the key areas of state’s transformation, Iseyin-born politician listed education, health, security, agric business, roads’ construction, urban renewal, infrastructures and human development among others.
In his explanation, Owonikoko expatiated that the Governor has no doubt recognised education as unavoidable sector that enhances the positive future of a particular state.
He referenced that, the current administration under Makinde’s leadership has brought tremendous reformation and restoration to education, and which has reflected on recruitment of professional teachers to both primary/secondary schools across Oyo State.
Owonikoko added that, his government has continued o maintain statusquo on regular payment of teachers’ salaries, allowances, bonuses, and pensions/gratuities for the senior citizens as at when due.
Owonikoko asked the people of pacesetter state to show appreciation to the Governor over his relentless struggles and concerted efforts which make them to feel secured and sleep with their two eyes closed.
He hinted that, his zeal towards youths’ encouragement in agric business and resuscitation of Fashola farm in Oyo, Eruwa farm settlement and other programmes in agriculture should not be forgotten.
“Health is wealth they say”, he showered encomiums on Governor’s construction of modern buildings for Primary Health Care (PHC) across all 351 wards in Oyo State.
On roads’ construction, Owonikoko praised Makinde on what he has done for Iseyin and parts of Oke-Ogun zone on area of roads’ construction, adding that he has truly opened Iseyin and the zone to the cities and foreign countries.
He lauded him on efforts which has been put in place on construction of Ikere Gorge Dam in Iseyin, noting that when the project is completed, there is every possibility and assurance that, 60 percent of Oyo State’s revenue would be derived from the gigantic project.
He said, Governor had maximally delivered on urban renewal, infrastructures that cut across and human development which everybody without sentiment and acrimony can be proud of, describing him as a God Sent Man(GSM) who knows how to use position of authority to affect people positively.
Owonikoko however called on Governor to maintain tempo that is significant to attainment of more notable feats, as he continues to lead the good people of pacesetter state.
