PDP Chieftain, Shittu Owonikoko Lauds Gov. Makinde’s Sixth Anniversary, Iseyin LG Chair’s One Year in Office
IAlhaji Waheed Shittu Owonikoko, a prominent Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Iseyin Local Government Area, Oyo State, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his sixth anniversary in office. Owonikoko also commended the Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran, on completing one year of what he described as impactful leadership.
Speaking with acrossnigerianews.com in Iseyin, Alhaji Shittu Owonikoko, who also serves as the Leader of the Shina Peller’s Group in Oyo North Senatorial District, lauded both leaders for their commitment to good governance and community development.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s six years in office have been marked by transformative leadership that has positively impacted every facet of life in Oyo State,” Owonikoko stated.
He highlighted the governor’s significant strides in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, which he said have collectively elevated the living standards of citizens across the state. “His Excellency’s dedication to sustainable development and his people-centric policies are truly commendable and have set a new benchmark for governance in our state.”
He noted that Mr Governor’s adminstration had positively touched Iseyin Local Government and Oke-Ogun, which impactful leadership had no doubt made people of the zone to describe him as God’s Sent Man(GSM).
Turning his attention to the local administration, Owonikoko praised Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran’s achievements within his first year as Chairman of Iseyin Local Government. “Hon. Fadiran has demonstrated remarkable zeal and foresight in his one year in office,” Owonikoko remarked.
“His efforts in addressing local challenges, promoting grassroots development, and fostering community engagement have been evident and deeply appreciated by the people of Iseyin.” He specifically acknowledged initiatives that have enhanced local infrastructure and improved public services, expressing confidence in Fadiran’s continued success.
Alhaji Shittu Owonikoko reiterated the PDP’s commitment to supporting both Governor Makinde and Hon. Fadiran in their endeavours to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
His commendation underscores the perceived progress and effective leadership at both the state and local government levels within Oyo State.
He however prayed God almighty to continue directing them in their mission, vision and stance to make the two tiers of government enjoyable by the masses.
