The Oyo State Progressive Ex-Parliamentarians released a joint statement honouring the indelible legacy of the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State, on the fifth anniversary of his passing.

The ex-parliamentarians collectively acknowledged Senator Ajimobi as a trailblazing, noble and charismatic leader whose vision reshaped Oyo State and Nigeria.
Their statement emphasized that despite five years, having elapsed since his demise, his legacy lives on, in the roads we travel, the enduring reforms, and the inspiration he still sparks.
The release underscored that Abiola Ajimobi was more than just a name; he symbolized oneness, friendship, unity, strength, and visionary leadership.
The parliamentarians also noted that his life’s work lives on in every life he touched, concluding their heartfelt message with “Forever in our hearts.”
Senator Abiola Ajimobi served as the Governor of Oyo State for two terms from 2011 to 2019, making him the first governor in the state’s history to achieve this feat.
His administration was known for its focus on infrastructure development, urban renewal, and public sector reforms.
