Oyo State Civil Servants Urged to Participate in Free Medical Outreach
The Oyo State Government has announced a free medical outreach for all civil and public servants, urging them to take advantage of the initiative for early detection and treatment of potential health issues. The outreach is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Secretariat Staff Clinic, located behind the Ministry of Works and Public Transport, State Secretariat, Ibadan, starting from 8:00 AM.
Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni, the Oyo State Head of Service, issued a directive on Friday encouraging all civil and public servants to attend. According to a statement signed by her Media Officer, Mr. Abiodun Atilola, the outreach will offer essential health screenings, including blood pressure tests and blood sugar tests, among others.

Participants are advised to arrive early to ensure accurate test results. For those currently on medication, the statement noted, “If you are already on medication, please come with your food and medication.”
The initiative stems from health test results obtained during the state government’s recent Mid-Year Retreat at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
Professor Olanike Adeyemo, the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, informed the Head of Service that this free medical outreach at the Secretariat clinic is a direct response, aimed at facilitating “early detection and early treatment of any identified ailments.”
Mrs. Oni, as the state’s leading civil servant, emphasized the importance of regular health checks, reiterating the adage, “Health is Wealth.” She implored all civil and public servants to utilize this opportunity to ascertain their health status, highlighting that good health is crucial for them to “collaborate with Governor Seyi Makinde in his effort at sustaining the Developmental Agenda of the State.”
The state government is urging full compliance with this directive to ensure the well-being of its workforce.
