The Odesina’s family in Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government, Area of Oyo State has extended warmest felicitation to the newly installed monarch, the Onigbeti of Igbetiland, HRM(Engr.) Oba Bashir Olalekan Abioye Siyanbola IV on his official coronation and receipt of the staff office.
The official coronation and presentation of staff of office to the monarch, was done by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal on Monday, 12th February in the ancient town of Igbetiland.
Prof. Olusegun Odesina who spoke to news men on behalf of the Odesina’s family cheered Oba Abioye on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers and receipt of the staff of office to make his leadership meaningful and fruitful.
Prof. Odesina noted that the town had earlier encountered with the challenges of no direction, because there was no leader to administer the affairs of the ancient town.
Prof said, the monarch’s ascension to the throne and receipt of the staff of office has ascertained the presence of leader to give direction for the development and progress of the town and its environs.
He called on Oba Abioye to work on attainment of unity, love and togetherness, among all sons and daughters of the ancient town, so as to ensure that all are on same page for the town’s successes.
Prof. Odesina charged the monarch to facilitate investments to the town for economic buoyancy, that would better the lives of all inhabitants.
He however tasked the state and local governments to have fruitful synergy with the king, in order to make his mission and vision achievable.
He prayed God almighty to guide and guard him, also bless him with the required knowledge, sound health and wisdom to lead the town.
