    In preparation for the Local Government’s election that is scheduled to be conducted April 2024 across the thirty three(33) Local Governments in Oyo State, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Iseyin Local Government, has on Wednesday, 17th January inaugurated Fadiran/Damola 2024 Campaign Council, as Engr. Salaudeen Morufu Abiola and Comrade Adeleke Mofeeid appointed as the Director General and Secretary General.

    Hon. Al-Hassan Taiwo, PDP Legal Adviser at the council area unveiled their names and also conducted oath of office on them at the general meeting held at LA Demonstration School, Oluwole Iseyin, under the leadership of party chairman, Alhaji Musodiq Ajigbotoso Adele.

    Other members of the campaign council are Comrade Omoniyi Afeez(Director of Media &Publicity), Comrade Jimoh Yisau (Deputy Director of media &Publicity), Mr Adekunle Gbenga, Hon. Eyinade Emmanuel, Mrs Mulikat Rasheed, and others who would be in charge as Director of Women Affairs, Director of Contact and Mobilization, and Director of Finance among others, whose letters of appointment were presented to them, by the Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Muftau Abilawon.

    The Legal Adviser also conducted oath of office on the eleven(11) ward coordinators, whose letters of appointment were given by leader each, and their names include the followings: Comrade Babatunde Semiu(Ward1), Comrade Wahab Rasaq(Ward2), Comrade Subuloye Sulaiman(Ward3), Comrade Ganiyu Wasiu Adesina(Ward4), Comrade Moshood Afeez(Ward5), Comrade Hammed Taoheed(Ward6), Comrade Akintola Sunday Yemi(Ward7), Comrade Ashirudeen Kola(Ward8), Comrade Akintola Maruf(Ward9), Comrade Azeez Lateef(Ward10) and Comrade Adeyemi Rasaq(Ward11) respectively.

    The Council Chairman, Hon. Muftau Abilawon who surprised a committed woman with presentation of grinding machine, asked the members of campaign council to work diligently in order to ensure victories of the party’s chairmanship candidates and the eleven Councillors.

    Hon. Abilawon also changed the appointed ward coordinators to work hand-in-hand with the local campaign council, so that the purpose of their appointment would be justified at the end of the election.

    He however called on members of the party to henceforth romancing people from opposition parties and others on their need to vote Fadiran/Damola and the eleven councillors at the election slated for April, 2024.

    In his acceptance speech, Director General, for the Campaign Council, Engr Salaudeen Abiola thanked party for his appointment, and however solicited support, cooperation and notable pieces of advice that would make them coast home to victory at the poll.

    He called on other members of the campaign council and ward coordinators, to come together, close all ranks and prioritise diligence and commitment which are unavoidable antidotes of success.

    The PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Rasaq Fadiran showered encomiums on stakeholders, chieftains and members of the party for their unflinching support, loyalty and commitment to the party and possibility of his ambition.

    He however read names of the positions available for members of the campaign council and charged occupant of each office to be diligent, committed and loyal to the task entrusted to their care.

    Hon. Fadiran tasked all party members to start reaching out to people on their need to vote and ensure emergence of Fadiran/Damola and the eleven councillors at the poll.

    He unveiled the councilors, their names, and wards as follows:

    AJIBOLA RAHMON ADEYINKA(04)
    ADEKUNLE BASIRAT ADENIKE(05)

    AZEEZ SULIAMON ADEYEMI (07)
    BASIRU YUSUFF ADEYEMI (08)
    OGUNDARE MOJEED AJASA (09)
    KOMOLAFE ELIZABETH (10)
    HAMMED BILIAMINU KAYODE (11)

    Earlier, Party Chairman, Alhaji Musodiq Adele thanked all members of the party for coming out in large numbers to attend the first general meeting in 2024.

    He added that the inauguration of the campaign council indicated that work had begun for mobilization, and canvassing people to vote all candidates that the party fielded for election.

    Chief Imran Shiaba, leader of leaders who spoke on behalf of the leaders called for oneness, unity and togetherness that would make emergence of the party’s candidates feasible at the poll.

    Another leader, Chief Babalola prayed for all public office holders in Iseyin LG and beyond, and however called on members to brace up for the task ahead, adding that Governor Seyi Makinde’s achievements in Iseyin Local Government are enough evidence of PDP’s readiness to serve people of the council area and beyond.

    The general meeting, had in attendance of the party chairman, leaders across eleven wards, chairmanship candidates, Councillors, women, youths and other supporters of the party.
