The Baale of Molete Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, High Chief Adeoti Waheed has mourned the passing of Asiwaju of Iseyinland, Chief Fasasi Festus Olapade Adelabu.
High Chief Waheed expressed his heartfelt condolences over the transition of the Patriarch, while speaking with news men in Iseyin on Thursday.
He lamented that he was shocked while he on Tuesday, May 7 received the news of Chief Festus Olapade Adelabu’s death.
High Chief noted that Baba died at the age of 90 years, but his death was so painful and disheartening, sequel to his contributions to the community at large.
High Chief Waheed added that the Patriarch was instrumental to his installation and coronation as the Baale Molete Iseyin, and his supports never ceased till his last day on the surface of the earth.
He said, he had notified the Aseyin of Iseyinland, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyeboola about Baba’s death and the monarch had done the needful.
In his tribute, he said Baba Festus Adelabu who originated from Atógun Family Iseyin, was a man of impeccable character, nobility and excellence whose impacts were felt by Molete and Iseyin at large.
High Chief Waheed said the deceased had truly gone on a journey of no return, but his legacies would live for life.
He however enjoined people regardless of status to continue to do good, because death would come unannounced.
He prayed God almighty to be with all families he left behind and as well grant him an eternal rest.
