Your Excellency Sir,
TAKIE-BOWEN-CARETEKER ROAD OBSTACLE; A serious setback for Oyo-Ogbomoso and Entire Oyo State Economic Progress.
More than couple of months now, I have been emphasizing on the need for our Political leaders representing us at federal level to appeal to federal government under your current administration, to as a matter of urgency complete the abandoned 5km Express road within Ogbomoso Community , may be, that might have alleviated the agony that motorists and travellers are passing through in our major road which is the most economic hub in Nigeria of today.
Without pontificating on the importance of the said section of the road which has been a serious concern today, even with abandonment of this new Express road, the Old and existing road within the very short time may collapse in like three places, due to lack of maintenance and Repair by FERMA. These places are Asani Bridge, Oolo Bridge and Ile Abu Bridge as flood almost damage those bridges.
More importantly, the Takie-Bowen-Caretaker section of the old Road has become a serious embarrassment for our Economic prospect and growth, not only for Ogbomoso community but for the country as a whole.
In this regards, we call on all the Governments of three tiers, through our Federal Representatives and State Political appointees to please play a critical role to make this road wear a new look and facilitate a process that will awake the Re-award of the abandoned New Express road.
For like Three days now, there has been a Stand-still Traffic as Trailers paralyzed the Economic Activities in Oyo-Ogbomoso Axis and for the farmers in Ogbomoso zone, it has been a great inconvenience and loss for us of its effect on transporting our Agriculture produce to the markets.
