A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kajola Local Government, and Assembly Hopeful, Hon. Sakirudeen Adeola Tijani (popularly known as Ọmọ Aṣoore), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a respected elder statesman, and former vice chairman of Kajola Local Government, Hon. Johnson Adebayo Eyinade, who died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

In a condolence message issued on behalf of himself, his family, and his political associate to acrossnigerianews.com, Hon. Tijani described the late Eyinade as a trailblazer and a man of enviable character whose life and political career left indelible marks in Kajola and beyond.
According to him, the deceased was not only a progressive leader of the APC in Ilua community and Kajola Local Government but also a distinguished public servant who served as the Vice Chairman of the old Kajola Local Government during the Third Republic.
“Baba Eyinade was a father figure, a mentor, and a man of enviable character. He stood firmly for justice, fairness, and the development of Kajola. His contributions will remain evergreen in the annals of our political history,” Hon. Tijani said.
He added that the passing of the elder statesman is not just a loss to his immediate family but also to Ilua, Kajola, and the entire progressive family in Oyo State.
While commiserating with the bereaved family, Hon. Tijani prayed that Almighty God would grant the soul of the late Eyinade eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“May the legacy of his good works continue to inspire us all to serve with humility and integrity. Adieu to a worthy leader and father,” he concluded.
