The Oke Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum recently convened its 2025 Annual ‘Get-Together’ program, issuing a fervent call to indigenes of the Oke Ogun region to demonstrate unwavering commitment and unity towards the accelerated development of their homeland.

The event, held under the theme “Rebuilding Oke Ogun’s Legacy: Restoring our Historical Heritage, Transforming Education, Politics and Culture for Future Generations,” brought together a distinguished array of leaders, traditional rulers, and youth representatives.
Speakers unanimously emphasized that collective resolve and sustained efforts are crucial for unlocking the region’s full potential and ushering in an era of rapid transformation.
Dignitaries present at the gathering included former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo; Hon. Shina Abiola Peller; and Col. Gbenga Adegbola.
Prominent traditional rulers also graced the occasion, including the Oniro of Otu, Oba Sunday Oyetunde Adepoju Ayilola III, and the Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty Oba Sefiu Oyebola Adeyeri Ajirotutu, who was ably represented by Chief Isiak Adeoti.
The Iseyin Local Government Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Fadiran, was represented by his vice, Hon. Oladipupo Solomon.
During their addresses, speakers meticulously dissected the theme, highlighting critical factors that have historically impeded the growth and development of Oke Ogun. A recurring point of emphasis was the detrimental impact of disunity and the relentless pursuit of individual ambitions, which, they argued, continue to obstruct the region’s progress.
Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, Hon. Shina Peller, Oba Sunday Adepoju, the National President of the Miners Association of Nigeria; Chief Dele Ayanleke, Chief Isiak Adeoti (representing the Aseyin), and Hon. Oladipupo Solomon, in separate interviews, reiterated the imperative for Oke Ogun indigenes to remain focused and united. They stressed that the “unity of Oke Ogun is sacrosanct and not negotiable,” a sentiment particularly poignant as the 2027 elections draw nearer.
Youths of the region were specifically admonished to serve as vanguards of positive change and rapid transformation. Chief Dele Ayanleke, alongside Abdul Qudir Oluwabusayo, Pastor Favour Adewoyin, and Prince Isiak Adeoti, collectively advocated for the swift industrialization of the Oke Ogun area. They called for strategic partnership arrangements and the productive engagement of the region’s youth as essential pathways to progress.
A highlight of the epoch event was the presentation of awards of excellence to eminent personalities across the Oke Ogun area, recognizing their significant contributions to the region. A special award of recognition was also bestowed upon Mr. Jenrade Kaseem Abiodun, a respected ace presenter at Oke Ogun Radio, for his outstanding efforts in fostering the growth and development of the area.
Also in attendance were other notable figures from Oke Ogun Radio, including the Head of Channel, Princess Adedamola Orioke, and the Commercial Officer, Oke Ogun FM Alaga, Mr. Abdul Wasiu Asimiyi.
