The Onidiko of Idiko-Ile Kingdom in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alayelua Folaranmi Nicholas Oyelami JP, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to almighty God and the people of his domain as he celebrates the attainment of a new age.
In a statement made available to acrossnigerianews.com, the revered monarch reflected on the grace of God over his life and reign, acknowledging the divine mercy that has preserved him to witness another year. He described his journey on the throne of his forefathers as one marked by immense support from the sons and daughters of Idiko-Ile Kingdom, both at home and in the diaspora.
Oba Oyelami noted that since his enthronement, he has consistently enjoyed the goodwill, loyalty, and cooperation of his subjects, which have contributed greatly to the peace, unity, and progressive development of the ancient town. He prayed for continued divine guidance, wisdom, and strength to further discharge his duties with fairness, dedication, and a sense of responsibility to his people.
The monarch further extended his appreciation to traditional rulers across Oke-Ogun, government functionaries, religious leaders, community organizations, and well-wishers who have stood by the throne with prayers and encouragement. He pledged to continue working towards sustaining unity and advancing the cultural heritage of Idiko-Ile, while also supporting initiatives that would foster socioeconomic growth within Iwajowa Local Government and the Oke-Ogun zone at large.
While calling on his people to remain steadfast in their commitment to peace, harmony, and progress, the Onidiko reaffirmed his resolve to serve as a father to all, irrespective of social, political, or religious affiliations.
