Oke-Ogun Committee of Friends Honours Three Permanent Secretaries
The Oke-Ogun Committee of Friends, led by Hon. Laide Mohammed, Member of the House of Representatives representing Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency, has honoured three distinguished indigenes of Oke-Ogun for their recent appointments as Permanent Secretaries in the Oyo State Civil Service.
Honorees
- Mr. Taiwo Niran Mustapha – Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Office of the Head of Service
- Mr. Hammed Alade Bello – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training
- Barrister Waheed Ajuwon – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters

The recognition ceremony was held at the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), Secretariat Main Hall, Ikolaba GRA, Ibadan which drew dignitaries, community leaders and stakeholders across the State.
Professor Saliu Adelabu Abdulwaheed, Commissioner for Establishments and Training, praised the honorees as seasoned technocrats whose contributions to Oyo State’s public service remain invaluable.
Hon. Laide Mohammed emphasized the importance of unity within the Oke-Ogun community, urging the appointees to leverage their positions for accelerated regional development.
Chief Jare Ajayi, Chairman of the occasion and National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, commended the Committee of Friends for organizing the event and called for sustained prioritization of Oke-Ogun’s interests.
Former lawmaker Hon. Lanre Agoro pledged lifelong advocacy for the Oke-Ogun development project, reaffirming his commitment to the region’s progress.
Alh. Taiwo Niran Mustapha urged Oke-Ogun indigenes to unite and invest in human capital development to strengthen the region’s role in state affairs.
Speaking on behalf of the honorees, Mr. Hammed Alade Bello expressed gratitude to the Oke-Ogun Forum for acknowledging their appointments and pledged continued dedication to the advancement of Oke-Ogun and Oyo State.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Alh. Kehinde Mustapha (INEC), Ustas Saminu Saruq (Okeho), Executive Chairman, Atisbo Local Government, Alh. Basir Alade Muyiwa, Chief Wale Oladeji, and members of the Oke-Ogun Initiatives within the Oyo State Civil Service.
