It was an ecstasy and grandeur in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Barrister Akeem Mustapha(MUGATY) swore in the newly appointed Supervisors and Special Assistants.

The new Supervisors with portfolios are Fatona Gabriel(Ward 06) assigned for Humanitarian Services, Musibau Azeez(Ward 09) asked to man Social & Welfare.

The Special Assistants who also made the list were Adedeji Gbemisola(Ward03), Rufus Oyelami(Ward04) and Olugbenga George Adetunji(OGA) from Ward04 who was not in attendance.

The event which oath of office was administered by Mr Jonathan Omojoro on new appointees took place at the conference room of the secretariat complex, Okeho, the headquarters of the council area on Thursday, 2nd December, 2025.

In his advice, PDP Chairman for the local government, Hon. Chief Johnson Ojebiyi charged the new appointees to be good ambassadors of their respective wards and PDP at large.

From Left : Chief Johnson Ojebiyi, Hon. Akeem Olawale Mustapha, Vice Chairman, Hon. Robert Adeniji and Chief of Staff, Hon. Akeem Tiamiyu

Ojebiyi asked them to team up conscientiously and wholeheartedly with the council chairman, so that the purpose of local government administration would have positive impacts on the masses.

The event had in attendance of the local government chairman, Hon. Akeem Mustapha, Vice Chairman, Hon.(Dr) Robert Adeniji, Chief Johnson Ojebiyi, Alhaji Akewusola Nurain, Chief of Staff, Councillors, Supervisors, Special Assistants, PDP stakeholders, members and well wishers among others.

In a related development, efforts made to find out why OGA failed to show up at the swearing in proved abortive, as the call put across to his phone did not pick, and message sent to him was equally not replied.

But the sources who spoke with acrossnigerianews.com under the condition of anonymity disclosed that OGA felt unhappy, displeased and disappointed that his name was shortchanged from Supervisor to Special Assistant.

    Olugbenga George Adetunji

While interrogating further, the sources maintained that Olugbenga George Adetunji and Hon. Ayo Olopoeniyan, Chairman, Oyo State Adult & Non-Formal Education were the two representatives of Kajola Local Government, assigned by Governor Seyi Makinde on a state assignment to Ondo State when gubernatorial election was conducted.

The sources hinted that, shortly after their arrival from Ondo State, despite the fact that PDP lost to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor Makinde promised to compensate each with supervisor, anytime that the new appointment would be made but reverse becomes the case on his.

However, the news medium would not rely on this alone, as further efforts would be made to get substantial and reliable fact from him, on why he absented from the programme.
