As event to mark the annual cultural celebration of Aso-Ofi Day begins in the ancient town of Iseyin today, the Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran has congratulated the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Ajirotutu and the entire community on auspicious occasion.

Fadiran noted that the annual celebration of Aso-Ofi Day in Iseyin remains a significant occasion that reflects and explains the community how it values and cherishes local fabrics as major Yorubas’ cultural dress.
He hinted that the event which begins today, Wednesday and ends tomorrow would no doubt draw people across the country and in the diaspora to Iseyin, for arts and tourism.
Fadiran maintained that the weaving of ‘Aso Òkè’ in Iseyin has pronounced and projected the community for both local and international recognition.
He however welcomed Oyo State Government, top echelons of government functionaries, politicians, business moguls, indigenes and other participants to the programme.
He prayed for safe trips as many will be departing their places of abode for cultural celebration.
He called for hitch free engagement that would make the programme laudable, remarkable and memorable.
Equally, the Council Boss enjoined youths to celebrate moderately, and ensure that the programme does not culminate in violence and disorderliness.
