The Elero of Ilero, in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Olokolonigi, has extended warm and heartfelt felicitations to adherents of Christianity in Ilero, Kajola Local Government Area, and across Oyo State on the occasion of the 2025 Christmas’ celebration.
The revered monarch described Christmas as a season that symbolizes love, sacrifice, unity, and generosity, urging Christians to reflect these virtues in their daily lives for the collective good of the society.
In a statement personally signed by the monarch and made available to acrossnigerianews.com, Oba Olokolonigi used the festive period to passionately call on all sons and daughters of Ileroland, both at home and in the diaspora, to embrace unity and togetherness as a catalyst for sustainable community growth and development.
According to the monarch, meaningful progress and the attainment of greater heights for the ancient town can only be achieved through a united front, mutual understanding, and shared commitment to the common good of the community.
“Christmas is a period that calls for love, unity in diversity, tolerance, and generosity, irrespective of religious, political, or social differences,” the Elero noted, emphasizing that peace and cohesion remain indispensable tools for development.
Oba Olokolonigi further enjoined Christians and other residents of the community to use the Yuletide season to fervently pray for Nigeria, Oyo State, and the continued peace, stability, and prosperity of Ileroland.
In another vein, the royal father charged all indigenes to demonstrate patriotism, unwavering dedication, and renewed commitment to the development of the community, stressing the need for increased investment initiatives that would create opportunities and improve the wellbeing of the people.
