Hon. Kola Olabiyi, CFO of FGN Power Company Limited and a former member of Federal House of Representatives, described Chief Koleosho’s passing as the loss of one of the greatest politicians of his generation.
Hon. Olabiyi expressed the condolences in a special statement which he personally signed and made available to acrossnigerianews.com
According to the statement, “Chief Koleosho, who won elections as a Councillor and as an Honourable Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly in 1976 and 1979, also served as Commissioner for Training and Establishment, and Commissioner for Works under the leadership of Chief Bola Ige in old Oyo State”.
“His influence extended beyond Oyo State, having served as National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and contributing significantly to Alhaji Lam Adesina’s regime as Secretary to the State Government from 1999 to 2003.
“A nationalist and inspiration to many, Chief Koleosho’s dedication to the development of Yorubaland was unmatched, and he also served as Chairman of the Afenifere, Oyo State Chapter.
“A generous philanthropist, he supported community development throughout Oke-Ogun and Oyo State, mentoring numerous politicians, civil servants, public servants, and professionals. His passion for Oke Ogun and his open-hearted nature made him a beloved figure across all political affiliations. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate his remarkable life and legacy, which lives on in the countless lives he touched and the significant contributions he made. Oke Ogun, Oyo State, and Nigeria have lost a distinguished son.
Hon. Olabiyi however condoled with the family members, people of Sakiland, members of progressive party, people of Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, Nigeria and prayed God almighty to be with all and at large grant the deceased an eternal rest.
