The Kajola Local Government Area in Oyo State, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Hon. (Barr.) Akeem Mustapha, has selected and sponsored eighteen indigenous candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session admission screening exercise at the First Technical University, Ibadan.

The initiative aims to provide educational opportunities for deserving students from the area.
According to Hon. Sulaiman Muraina, the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Youth and Sports Development, while speaking with acrossnigerianews.com, said, the council is covering the cost of the screening exercise and will also be responsible for the school fees and other logistics for the five best-performing candidates who gain admission.
The sponsored candidates, who participated in the screening on Thursday, August 21, 2025, were chosen based on specific criteria. Each candidate was selected from one of the wards within the council area. Additionally, three candidates were chosen from the Kajola Muslim Community and three from the Kajola Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
To qualify, all candidates were required to have their O’ Level certificates and a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) score of 200 or above.
