The Executive Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Muritala Abiodun Oyewumi, has paid glowing tribute to his father, the late traditional ruler of Ayede, Chief Shitu Oyelede Oyewumi popularly known as ‘Ajagungbade’, as the community marks his 88th posthumous birth anniversary.

Chief Oyewumi, who served as the Baale of Ayede in Iganna for three decades, was described as a visionary leader, a symbol of peace, and a custodian of the rich cultural heritage of the Ayede people. During his reign, he was also a respected member of the Iwajowa Local Government Traditional Council, where he played an active role in fostering unity, development, and social harmony among the traditional institutions in the area.
