The Executive Chairman, Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Muritala Abiodun Oyewumi has extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde over the passing of his dear brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
Engr Sunday Makinde was said to have died early morning of Friday, 24th January, 2025 after a brief illness.
The Council Boss, expressed sadness in a condolence statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the local government, Hon. Kazeem Oladeinde HAMMED and made it available to acrossnigerianews.com
He said, the death of Engr. Sunday Makinde came to him as a rude shock, having learnt that, he was hale and hearty before going to bed yesterday.
Hon. Oyewumi described the departed soul as a man with ethos of integrity and impeccable character who would be sorely missed by his siblings and people around him.
He however extended deepest sympathy to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, his family and others who are painful by the demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde.
He prayed God almighty to provide the family with an equanimity to bear the painful exit and as well grant the deceased, an eternal rest.
