Iseyin Police Area Commander, Rufus Adegoke Enumerates Challenges as Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Sonubi Ayodele Pays Official Familiarization Visit.
The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP Sonubi Oluyemi Ayodele had paid official familiarization visit to Iseyin Police Area Command in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State.
The CP’s visit which took place at the temporary office of the Area Command, Oke-Aro, Isalu, Iseyin on Thursday, August 22nd gave the Area Commander, ACP Akanle Rufus Adegoke the privilege to enumerate some major challenges confronting the Area Command.
Adegoke listed lack of official vehicle for Area Commander(himself), shortage of manpower, lack of operational vehicles, lack of funds, and lack of computer/system for some administrative/official duties.
He also enumerated lack of water at the permanent site, lack of fence at the permanent site, lack of electricity at the permanent site and lack of communication gadgets (Walkie Talkie and POC) as challenges which the Area Command is battling with.
At the epoch making occasion that was covered by acrossnigerianews.com, Area Commander however showered encomiums on notable personalities and illustrious sons like Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola GCON, Alhaji Ahmed Adeniyi Raji SAN, Engr Bola Azeez and others whose supports and unwavering dedication have been instrumental to functionality and effectiveness of their operations.
He, on behalf of officers and men attached to Iseyin Police Area Command of the state heartily welcomed the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State and his entourage to Iseyin Police Area Command.
On purpose of familiarization visit, CP Sonubi Oluyemi Ayodele, as the new and first Commissioner of Police for Oyo State Police Command to visit the Area Command, revealed that the purpose of visit was at the instance of ensuring that peace continues to reign between the police in the two local governments(Iseyin & Itesiwaju) and members of public in the two council areas.
CP maintained that the duty of police was to ensure the security of lives and property, pledging that he and other officers shall not hesitate to do the needful.
The Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Area of the State, Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran welcomed the Commissioner of Police to Iseyin and however promised that his leadership and administration as a council chairman would definitely see to the betterment of all and sundry.
Others who spoke at the peaceful deliberation were Aseyin of Iseyinland, ably represented by Ikolaba of the ancient town, High Chief Ismail Odubiyi, the Oniro of Otu, HRM Oba Sunday Adepoju, the Seriki Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Yakubu Bello, the Agba-Akin of Iseyinland and others.
The meeting that ended with vote of thanks from CSP Dauda Bakare Akanji had in attendance of police officers, Officers of Sister Agencies, Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran, Royal Fathers from the two local governments, PCRC Chairman for Iseyin Police Area Command, Seriki Fulanis/Hausas, members of Iseyin Development Union, community leaders and others respectively.
