In an effort to raise more awareness and tackling violence against women and children in the community, the wife of the executive Chairman of Iseyin local Government area of Oyo state, Mrs. Fadiran Taiwo Yemisi, has intensified her campaign against gender-based violence (GBV) in the council.
Speaking during an awareness walk within major communities in Iseyin and its environs which kick started at the council Secretariat, Oja Oba, all the nooks and crannies and terminated at Oja Agbe Market, Mrs Fadiran said the campaign, was designed to educate residents on the dangers of GBV and promote a culture of respect, equality, and protection for vulnerable individuals.

Mrs. Fadiran, who has been an outspoken advocate for women’s rights, highlighted the importance of addressing GBV as a critical issue that affects families, communities, and society as a whole.
