- Hon Rasaq Fadiran, Baale Idi-Ori, Baale Idi-Iya, Others Task Students on Pursuance of Excellence
The management, Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology, in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State had administered matriculation oath on new intakes in affirmation of their studentship in the academic institution.
The matriculation affirmation and oath were on Thursday, 13th June, 2024 done at the college’s permanent site located at KM5, Oyo Road Iseyin, by the College’s Director of Academic, Mr Babalola Oluwole, Mr Arishe Victor and eventually sealed by the Acting Provost, Mr Ibiyosi Peter.
In a speech delivered by the Acting Provost, ” as you embark on this remarkable adventure, remember that success is not measured solely by grades or accolades, but by the lives you touch and the impact you make, strive not only for excellence in your chosen field but also for integrity, empathy, and compassion. Be kind to one another, support each other, and celebrate each other’s achievements”.
Mr Ibiyosi Peter thanked parents and guardians for entrusting school and its management, with the education and wellbeing of their children, asking them to be rest assured that they would do everything in their power to provide the students with a nurturing environment where they can thrive intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
He also extended deepest gratitude to esteemed college’s members for their dedication and passion, hinting that they are not just teachers, but mentors, guides and role models who are shaping the minds of future leaders, innovators, and change-makers.
Mr Peter however advised students to embrace the journey wholeheartedly, embrace the challenges, the setbacks, and the moments of uncertainty that bring growth and evolvement through adversity.
The Acting Registrar, Mr Azeez Olawale welcomed the students to the college’s community, noting that their admission to the institution was a testament of their hard work, dedication, and uninterrupted commitment to pursue higher education,which the transformative journey would make them believe that they are not just students, but scholars, critical thinkers, problem solvers and future leaders.
He said, ” it is a rite of formal entry serving as an efficacious welcome into the academic community. It is a day to celebrate your achievements, embrace aspirations, and set standards that positively contribute to the incredible journey ahead”.
The Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Adeoti Ridwan tasked the students to face their studies squarely in order to attain excellence in their academic pursuit and success in life.
The Baales of host communities, Oloye Lukman Aderoju Adekunle(Baale Idi-Ori Iseyin) and Oloye Lukman Motunrayo Ojeniyi(Baale Idi-Iya Iseyin) welcomed the students to school and asked them to ensure they face the purpose in which they were sent to Iseyin.
They however showed appreciation to the Proprietor, Mr Owoseni Adewale for his resolve and conviction to establish school in Iseyin , praying that the school and its proprietor would continue to wax stronger.
The matriculation ceremony which attracted creme de la creme from both near and distance, featured cake cutting that was championed by the proprietor, school management and other well wishers.
