Mr Owoseni Adewale, the Proprietor, Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology, located at KM5, Oyo Road Iseyin in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State has told the Doubting Thomas that the private academic institution has come stay.
Ondo-born Proprietor made this assurance while in an exclusive interaction with acrossnigerianews.com in his office recently.
The Proprietor maintained that the school with availability of notable courses, has been fully registered and accredited by National Board of Technical Education(NBTE) for both National Diploma(ND) and Higher National Diploma(HND) respectively.
The available courses in the school are: Community Health, Public Health Nursing, Public Health Technology, Dental Nursing and Pharmaceutical Technology among others.
Adewale hinted that the college which had initially affiliated with Ìjerò College of Health has now gained its autonomy to admit and graduate students.
He disclosed that the College is not a profit oriented academic institution, as its affordability allows students to pay as low as N40,000 per semester.
He said that the applicants who sought for ND Programmes would spend 3 years, while those who apply for HND courses would use 5 years, with prerequisite of JAMB and 6 Credits in O’ Level.
On availability of staff, he disclosed that the school has both permanent and contract staff that amounts to sixty(60), while members of non-academic staff are are ten(10).
In terms of facilities, he assured of availability of Library, Clinic, Toilet, Water Supply, Sport Tennis(Male& Female), solar and Generator among others.
He said, transportation had become less cumbersome with partnership with Omituntun Bus and other registered transport outfits.
Adewale asked parents, guardians and students not to nurse any phobia as the college has firm partnership with Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed ‘AMOTEKUN’ and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC).
He said, he was grateful to God almighty that the school which began with 300 students can now boast of over 1000 students, from both distance(40 percent) and near(30percent).
He enjoined people not to travel long distance in search of knowledge, as what they are looking away is now at their door steps.
Adewale thanked people of Iseyin and Oke-Ogun for their support, which keeps the college waxing stronger on daily basis.
