Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology Welcomes New Students at Grand Matriculation Ceremony
Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology (ISCOTECH) today held its 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony, officially welcoming a new cohort of students into its academic community. The event, held at the college’s campus located at KM5, Oyo Alaafia Road, Ajelanwa, Iseyin, was a vibrant celebration of academic aspiration and future leadership.

Registrar Urges New Students to Embrace Opportunity
In an inspiring address, the Registrar, Mr. Owoseni J.A., expressed immense joy at the gathering, extending gratitude to the Almighty and acknowledging the unwavering support for the institution. He offered “Gigantic Solidarity” to the founder, the Acting Provost, and all administrative staff and board members present.
Addressing the matriculants directly, Mr. Owoseni underscored the significance of the day, calling it a “rite of formal entry” and an “efficacious welcome into the academic community.” He emphasized that their admission was a testament to their hard work and dedication, welcoming them not just as students, but as “scholars, critical thinkers, problem solvers, and future leaders.”
Mr. Owoseni highlighted the college’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience, stating, “Within the hallowed of our college, you will find not just classrooms and lecture halls, but spaces of creativity, new ideas, council of extra-curricular activities, entrepreneurship opportunities and beneficial career skills that reinforce your personal and professional growth.” He encouraged students to engage in knowledge-building discourse with experienced staff and like-minded colleagues, urging them to “embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead.” He concluded by encouraging students to utilize their time with “a focused mind, high optimism, and focalized pursuit of excellence,” letting their instincts, passion, and dreams guide them to “greater heights.”


Complementing the matriculation ceremony, Professor Oluwasogo A. Olalubi PhD, from the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Kwara State University, Malete, Nigeria, delivered a insightful career development lecture.
Professor Olalubi extensively discussed students’ previous academic achievements, stressing that “knowledge is not enough; it is action, character, and courage that transform communities.” He urged students to prioritize and develop essential soft skills crucial for their academic and future professional lives.
The ceremony also featured words of exaltation from various esteemed guests and community leaders. Among those who offered their support and encouragement were the parents of the matriculating students, representatives from the Iseyin Development Union, and His Royal Majesty Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, The Aseyin of Iseyin, who was ably represented by Prince Semiu Azeez. The Iseyin Council of Societies and other prominent individuals also shared their good wishes.
