• Oba Alado to Confer Chieftaincy Title on Joshua Bolatito Olalere
Ground breaking history has been recorded in Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State, as the inaugural tournament of Oke-Ogun Tennis Club held amidst ecstasy and grandeur.
The epoch making occasion which occured on Saturday, 26 October 2024 at Elewure along Iseyin/Okeho road, featured notable programmes of interest that made all creme de la creme in attendance, felt relaxed without minding economic challenges bedevilling the nation.
Top among the programmes was inaugural tournament of Oke-Ogun Tennis Club played under the guide of Oyo State Head Tennis Club, Comrade Ganiyu Tirimisiyu , where winners of junior and senior categories were awarded with medals, certificates and tokens.
HRM Oba Folakanmi Ademola Asoludero, the Alado of Ado-Awaye presented prestigious medal awards to those winners in the two categories and moreover charged them not to relent in their chosen careers as the sky remains their starting point.
Having recognised and acknowledged the painstaking efforts and patriotic struggles of Comrade Joshua Bolatito Olalere, CEO Oke-Ogun Green Revolution, towards the development of Oke-Ogun zone, Oba Folakanmi Ademola has promised to on November 15, 2024, confer the Chieftaincy Title of ” The Amuludun of Ado-Awaye on him.
Earlier, Oba(Dr) Abdul Rafiu Osuolale Adeitan II , Onjo of Okeho inaugurated Board of Trustee for Oke-Ogun Tennis Club, whose membership includes Chief Sola Badmus as Chairman, Oba Adeoye Gbenga Adigun Oyetunji Oyinlola II JP, The Aare Alawo Ekun of Ofiki Land, Mrs Kemi Adeola, Mr Paul Adepoju and Comrade Joshua Bolatito Olalere as members respectively.
Oba Onjo tasked members of Board of Trustee, to work assiduously and patriotically justify on purpose that warranted their membership of Oke-Ogun Tennis Club ‘s Board of Trustee.
The Monarch also showered encomiums on Joshua Bolatito Olalere over his patriotic and progressive vision that keeps pushing Oke-Ogun zone to greater heights.
In their good will messages, the Aare Alawo Ekun of Ofiki Land, President Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, Alhaj Dr Kasali Salau, Secretary Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum(ODCF), Vice Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Hon.(Dr) Robert Adeniji, and Alhaj Alade Bello commended the organiser’s initiative and however tasked all illustrious sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun to rise for progress and development of the zone.
JBO substantiated the purpose of Oke-Ogun Green Revolution that birthed Oke-Ogun Tennis Club, reiterating that farmers should not take their relation with levity hands, having engaged on strenuous taks on farms.
He also added that, pupils and students of respective primary and secondary schools across the zone should be encouraged to show interest in Tennis Game, so as to have the likes of Rafael Nadal, Serena Sisters and others of international fame.
The event had in attendance of the Royal Fathers, Okeho Community Leaders, ODCF representatives, Religious leaders, corp members, secondary students, well-wishers and others respectively.
