The National Old Students Association, Iseyin District Grammar School(IDGS) have reiterated their commitment to better standards of their alma mater.
The pledge was made on Saturday, 27th January at the school premises in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State, while rounding off 4-Day Events for the 60th anniversary of the school’s establishment.

Dr. Femi Oyediran, Chairman, Fund Raising Committee for 60th Anniversary, disclosed that the launching of N100million development fund would be used for the renovation of the perimeter fence, construction of intra-school roads and beautification of the school gate among others.
The enthusiastic alumni and invitees donated generously, while others pledged their donations for possibility of the earmarked projects.
Aside these proposed projects, the previous and current achievements of each set to the school, that were reeled out attracted applauds and commendations from all attendees.

In his keynote address, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abdulwaheed Adelabu, who was represented by Engineer Adebayo Salam said,” the vision of the state under current administration is to ensure that citizens have a holistic growth through education and all round development, while the mission is designed to achieve free, qualitative and economic driven education such that no one is left behind in the acquisition of holistic knowledge in the state”.
Engr Salam thanked the National Old Students Association of IDGS for partnering with the current administration ably led by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde by creating enabling environment towards the provision of quality education.

The Outgone Chairman for IDGS Alumni, Elder Adejare Ademola Bamidele thanked God almighty for unity, oneness and togetherness which he described as antidotes orchestrating successes for the Alma Mater.
Elder Bamidele tasked the newly elected president Alhaji Ademola Dauda to get set for delivery that would birth uncommon feats and successes.
The Chairman of the occasion and alumnus, Senator Andrew Gbenga Babalola thanked God for fruition of the school’s celebration of diamond jubilee, he made donation of N1m and pledged that he shall not hesitate to give more back his to Alma mater.

Prince Semiu Azeez who spoke on behalf of the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola congratulated them on school’s attainment of 60 years of age and however tasked them to show interest in the monarch’s master plan for Iseyinland.

HRM Oba Abiodun Oyerinde, the Onibise of Otu and alumnus thanked them for recognition given to me, promising to donate N100k for the development of Alma Mater.

The epoch making occasion had in attendance of IDGS’ Alumni, religious leaders, royal fathers, political class and other well wishers respectively.
