A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State, Dr Kazeem Ayandoye has organised a special prayer for Oyo State and Nigeria, on need for God’s intervention to prevent similar occurrence in the future, heal the survivors and repose the souls of the lost ones.
Dr Ayandoye organised the inter-denominational prayer at the instance of the last Ibadan explosion where lives, and properties were lost to disaster and call on Allah’s mercy to prevent such and related catastrophes.
The prayer session which took place at his residence in Bodija Ibadan, had in attendance of the notable clergies that cut across the three religious denominations.
While speaking with news men, Kishi-Oke Ogun born politician and technocrat revealed that the purpose was to identify, condole with the victims and however prayed fervently for the state and Nigeria as a whole, on prevention of such disastrous incidents in the nearest future.
Dr Ayandoye maintained that it becomes important and necessary to turn to God for divine intervention in the lives of perpetrators to halt further evil works, notwithstanding charged the government to be intensive in its investigations and bring the culpables to book.
He however mourned the deceased and showed sympathy with victims whose lives and properties were lost and destroyed beyond repair.
He expressed his heartfelt sadness towards melancholic event, which he described as soul depressing, worrisome and disheartening.
On the sad incident, Dr Ayandoye assured he would do his best to support the identifiable survivors of the ill-fated occurrence within his capacity.
He however commended immediate intervention of the government as he urged for more attention to ensure that the security of lives and properties is prioritised.
