FUNATO VC, Babayemi Clarifies Admission Hurdles, Directs Prospective Students to JAMB Zonal Office For Indemnity Form
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), Prof. Jacob Babayemi, has provided a decisive clarification on the admission challenges confronting some prospective students seeking placement into the institution.

Prof. Babayemi disclosed that the challenges largely affect candidates who had earlier been offered admission into other universities, accepted such offers, and in some cases paid relevant fees, but later developed interest in pursuing their academic programmes at FUNATO.
To address the situation, the Vice-Chancellor personally visited the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Zonal Office in Ibadan to seek official clarification and sustainable solutions to the predicament.
Following the meeting with JAMB officials, Prof. Babayemi confirmed that affected candidates are eligible to regularise their admission status without any form of obstruction. According to him, such candidates are required to visit the JAMB Zonal Office in Ibadan to obtain an Indemnity Form, which serves as an official document to resolve admission conflicts arising from multiple offers.
He explained that once the Indemnity Form is duly obtained, processed, and approved, the candidates would be fully cleared to proceed with the FUNATO admission process seamlessly.
The Vice-Chancellor assured prospective students and their parents of the university’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and adherence to due process, stressing that no eligible candidate would be unjustly denied admission due to procedural challenges.
Prof. Babayemi further urged all affected candidates to promptly take advantage of the opportunity provided by JAMB, noting that FUNATO remains resolute in its mission to provide quality, innovative, and agriculture-driven education in line with national development goals.
