The indigenes of Ìsàlè-Alfa Òkehò, both at home and in the diaspora, have expressed deep appreciation to individuals whose efforts contributed to the establishment of the newly approved Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Òkehò (FUNATO), in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In a statement signed by Comrade Giwa Sulaiman and made available to acrossnigerianews.com, the community, under the headship of Alhaji Sheikh Sufiyan Shaka 5, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for considering Òkehò worthy of hosting the federal institution. They also extended special appreciation to Senator Fatai Buhari, Professor Segun Gbadegesin, Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji, and Hon. Musbau Azeez Action for their pivotal roles in the realization of the project.
The group equally lauded the Onjo of Òkehò, HRM Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, the Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Hon. Akeem Mustapha (MUGATY), and his vice, Dr. Robert Adeniji, as well as the Egbe Omo Ibile Òkehò under the leadership of Dr. Salawu Kasali Adesola, and the League of Imams and Alfas for their prayers and support toward the actualization of the university.

Describing the development as a divine blessing and a major milestone for Òkehò and Oke-Ogun at large, the community prayed for the continued progress and infrastructural growth of the institution.
While congratulating the pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob Babayemi, alongside other principal officers and members of the governing council, the indigenes prayed for divine guidance, knowledge, and wisdom for them to discharge their duties effectively.
Among those who signed the message of goodwill were Alhaji Sheikh Sufiyan Shaka 5 (Head of the family), Rtd. Superintendent of Police Abd-Rasaq Fasasi (Chairman, Ìsàlè-Alfa Òkehò Home and Abroad), Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Alhaji Abd-Lateef Shittu Irede, Baba Moshood Salaudeen Giwa, Baba Daud Abd-Salam Lero, and Sister Baliqees Abd-Ahmed Eleja.
Others include Bro. Nurain Okulu Muibi, Bro. Raheem Abd-Kareem, Sister Zainab Hazmat Alagbagba, Alhaji UBA Yushau Seriki Hausa, Alfa Abdullah Tijani Alola, Alhaja Saudat Salaudeen Giwa, Alfa Taiwo Nuh Adele, and Alfa Abd-Rafeeh Salomon, who all joined in praying for the sustained success of FUNATO and its leadership.
