Forum of Oyo LG Chairmen Extends Felicitations to Makinde on Birthday, Cheers Christians on Christmas
The Forum of Chairmen of Oyo State Local Government Councils has joined the Oyo State Government, residents, political associates, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to celebrate the birthday of Governor Seyi Makinde.
In a felicitation message issued on Thursday night, the chairmen described Governor Makinde as a worthy and exemplary leader whose style of governance remains worthy of emulation. They noted that the governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and development has continued to earn him admiration across the state, adding that he deserves to be celebrated on his special day.
The message, signed by the Forum Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, and the Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, was released to members of the press and conveyed the forum’s warm birthday wishes to the governor.
The council chairmen also extended Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greetings in advance to the people of Oyo State across the 33 local government areas, urging residents to remain peaceful and united during the festive season.
In their goodwill message, the chairmen called on the people of the state to continue to support and believe in the PDP-led administration of Governor Makinde, noting that sustained public support is essential for the realization of the government’s developmental agenda.
They further reaffirmed their collective commitment to the delivery of good governance and the deepening of democratic dividends at the grassroots level, pledging to continue working closely with the state government to improve the welfare of residents across all local councils.
