Addressing the pressing issue of the deteriorating Iseyin-Okeho road, Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji provided a progress report on the ongoing efforts to address the road’s condition. He expressed his concern about the road’s sorry state, which has had a significant impact on the economic activities of Kajola, Iwajowa, and Itesiwaju local governments. This road is crucial for commercial activities in the region.
The road’s condition worsened due to heavy rainfall, resulting in the erosion of vital sections and causing distress to road users. Local media outlets brought attention to this problem, leading to widespread public concern about the federal government’s apparent neglect of the road.
Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji discussed his efforts to address the road’s issues since taking office, explaining that three different contractors had attempted the project but faced challenges due to funding shortages.
