2023 Candidate of Social Democratic Party(SDP) for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Barr. Abd’ Waheed Bayo Raji has called on Governor Seyi Makinde and other Public Office Holders emerging from the axis, to expedite action on deplorable condition of Iseyin-Okeho road, in order to avoid disaster and avoidable death.
Raji, an Iseyin-born legal luminary and politician made this admonition in a release signed by him and made available to news news.
Raji said, it was sad and disheartening that the state of Iseyin-Okeho road has become deplorable that motorists and even motorcyclists are cautiously plying the route.
He maintained that, aside its poor condition, continuous heavy downpour has been responsible for the collapse of gathers and culverts that allow easy passage of water in the streams.
The legal luminary added that, the worst one is the stream that flows across the road in Olúgbadé village located along the road, which continuous rain may be and will be responsible for its cut off, if urgent action is not taken.
He said, ” with the current volume of rain that rains ceaselessly these days, Kajola and Iwajowa Local Governments, may be cut off from the remaining parts of the state.
Raji called on Governor Makinde and other political functionaries to swing to action, as this is a commercial and economic road which promotes the business activities of the local governments making the federal constituency.
He reiterated that government’s urgent attention on this road becomes essential, so as to avoid disaster and avoidable death.
