As Iseyin gears up to host its annual Aso-Ofi Day for edition of 2024, the former Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke has expressed heartfelt congratulations to the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Ajirotutu and the entire community on this year’s cultural celebration.
Aso-Ofi Day celebration in the ancient town of Iseyin will take place between Wednesday & Thursday, 4/5 December, 2024.

He described Aso-Ofi as uncommon pride of Iseyin, that shows and explains the people of the ancient community as core Yorubas who can’t take their culture for granted in terms of dressing.
Iseyin-born Politician hinted that, the annual cultural celebration has placed Iseyin on global map where people across the country and in the diaspora have knowledge of the town as true home of Aso Òkè.
He noted that, if potentials are properly harnessed, it will no doubt boost the social and economic development of the community and its environs locally and internationally.
Adeleke however called on state government to assist with the provision of necessary enabling environment for people who are into weaving of the local fabrics, so that they won’t go as far as Lagos and other cities to have their goods sold.
He enjoined those in the business to look into upgrading the trade by using modern day technology, that would make their engagements less stressful and more profitable.
