Ex–Ibadan North LG Chairman, Agba Egbe Defects to APC, Visits Party’s Peace Advocates’ Convener, Niran Adeyoju
The recently decamped former Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Sahib Oladayo, popularly known as Agba Egbe, alongside members of his political team, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Convener of the Oyo State APC Peace Advocates, Prince Niran Adeyoju (SDM), reaffirming their commitment to party’s unity and collective success of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the visit, Hon. Oladayo said his decision to decamp to the APC was driven by the desire to be part of a progressive platform that prioritises unity, inclusiveness and grassroots development. He stressed that his team is fully prepared to work with all stakeholders to strengthen the party across the state.
According to him, unity remains the bedrock of victory in any political contest, adding that the APC in Oyo State must close ranks and move forward with a common purpose ahead of future elections.
“Our visit today is to identify with the peace-building efforts of the Oyo APC Peace Advocates and to assure the leadership of our readiness to work with everyone for the overall success of the party across board,” Oladayo stated.
In his response, Prince Niran Adeyoju (SDM) welcomed the former council chairman and his team to the APC family, describing their defection as a positive development that would further strengthen the party’s grassroots structure, particularly in Ibadan North Local Government.
Adeyoju commended Hon. Oladayo for embracing dialogue, peace and cooperation, noting that the APC Peace Advocates will continue to promote reconciliation and harmony among party members to ensure sustained growth and electoral success.
He urged the decamped members to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of the party, assuring them of inclusion and support as they integrate fully into the APC fold.
The visit ended on a note of solidarity, with both sides expressing optimism that a united APC would be better positioned to achieve victory at all levels in Oyo State.
