‘ẸGBÉ ÀJỌṢEPỌ̀ FÚN ÌTẸSIWÁJÚ GBOGBO WA ENGAGES ÒKÈÒGÙN GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANTS IN STRATEGIC ONLINE INTERVIEWS*
In pursuit of its vision for inclusive leadership and regional advancement, Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa has commenced a series of virtual engagements with Òkèògùn-born political aspirants ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election in Ọ̀yọ́ State.

The initiative, which emanated from the Association’s weekly meeting of Saturday, October 25, 2025, followed a robust internal debate and culminated in a unanimous resolution to interface directly with all governorship hopefuls from the Òkèògùn region.
A timetable was subsequently drawn up for the interactive sessions as follows:
- October 30, 2025 – Barr. AbdulRahman Adebayo Shittu (Saki West LGA, Saki).
- October 31, 2025 – Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan (Oorelope LGA, Ìgbòho).
- November 1, 2025 – Barr. Beulah Olufemi Adeoye (Itesiwaju LGA, Òtu).
- November 2, 2025 – Dr. Gbenga Adegbolá (Saki West LGA, Saki).
- November 3, 2025 – Dr. Kazeem Ayandoye (Irepo LGA, Kisi).

Each session, which begins at 9:00 p.m., typically extends beyond midnight, reflecting the depth of discourse and the enthusiasm of participants. The meetings have been presided over by Engr. Dauda Alade Olaifa, the Association’s Chairman, ably moderated by Prof. Jacob Babayemi, while Mrs. Folasade Oyename and Mrs. Abiodun Ozurumba serve as rapporteurs.

Every engagement opens with prayer, followed by an introduction of the Association’s vision, achievements, and objectives. The highlight remains an intensive question-and-answer segment, where members interrogate the aspirants’ policy plans, developmental blueprints, and vision for Ọ̀yọ́ State.

The Association’s principal goal is clear — to ensure that an Òkèògùn indigene emerges as the Governor of Ọ̀yọ́ State in 2027.
So far, the aspirants have demonstrated remarkable insight, preparedness, and leadership depth. Each has brought unique perspectives, charisma, and conviction to the discussions, displaying both capacity and competence worthy of high office.

Commenting on the sessions, the leadership of Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ affirmed that while competence and capacity are indispensable for governance, character remains a defining test of leadership. “True character reveals itself in power, and we trust that each aspirant will uphold the honour and values of Òkèògùn land if given the mandate,” the statement read.
The interview with Dr. Gbenga Adegbolá holds tonight, while Dr. Kazeem Ayandoye will take his turn tomorrow. The Association promises to provide the public with subsequent updates as the series continues.

Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa also invites information about any other Òkèògùn-born aspirants who have declared their interest in the 2027 governorship race, urging stakeholders to reach out via any of the Association’s official platforms.
