The Director of Abu Imran Multipurpose Ventures, Mr. Olalekan Oluwole Fisayomi, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Distinguished Senator Fatai Buhari, Professor Segun Gbadegesin, and other notable stakeholders whose efforts contributed to the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Òkehò (FUNATO).

In a statement made available to acrossnigerianews.com, Fisayomi, who hails from Aselu Compound, Ado-Awaye, in Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, described the creation of FUNATO as a rare blessing for Oke-Ogun and the entire nation.
According to him, the siting of such a specialized institution of higher learning in Òkehò will stimulate economic activities, foster human capital development, and drive technological advancement in agriculture and related fields.
“FUNATO is more than just an academic institution,” he noted. “Its presence in Oke-Ogun will serve as a catalyst for regional growth, job creation, and overall progress. This is indeed a victory for our people and future generations.”
Fisayomi, whose company specializes in the supply of cassava, maize, and other cash crops, emphasized that the establishment of FUNATO aligns perfectly with the aspirations of the Oke-Ogun zone as an agricultural hub.
He added that the institution would not only enhance food security but also provide research-based solutions to the challenges facing farmers and agribusiness operators in Nigeria.
He further congratulated the pioneer principal officers of FUNATO: Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi; Bursar, Dr. Kazeem Popoola; Librarian, Dr. Ganiyu Adigun; and Registrar, Mr. Mohamed Olaiya Aminu, urging them to lay a solid foundation that would make the university a model for excellence.
Fisayomi concluded by reaffirming the commitment of Abu Imran Multipurpose Ventures to partnering with relevant stakeholders to maximize the opportunities the institution presents for sustainable agricultural and economic growth.
