A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and renowned philanthropist, Engr. (Dr.) Soliu Adebare Abu Gbadamosi (IRE), has joined prominent voices in extending warm felicitations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja (Arusa I) on his official coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The historic coronation ceremony held on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, political leaders, and well-wishers from across the country, underscoring the revered place of the Olubadan stool in Yoruba culture and tradition.
In a congratulatory message personally signed and released to acrossnigerianews.com through his Office of Media, Publicity, and Strategy, Dr. Gbadamosi described the enthronement of Oba Ladoja as “a monumental blessing to Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.”
He emphasized that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience as a statesman, community leader, and cultural icon would further enrich the traditional institution while inspiring sustainable growth and development for the people.
“Kabiyesi’s ascension to the throne comes at a time when Ibadanland requires visionary traditional leadership to foster peace, unity, and progress. With his proven track record of service and wisdom, I am confident that his reign will usher in prosperity not only for Ibadanland but also for Oyo State and the Yoruba nation at large,” Dr. Gbadamosi noted.
He further called on all sons, daughters, and residents of Ibadanland to rally behind the new monarch, stressing that collective support and loyalty to the Olubadan would accelerate development and strengthen the bonds of harmony across the land.
Dr. Gbadamosi concluded his message with prayers for the success of Oba Ladoja’s reign, wishing him endless seasons of peace, unity, and prosperity.
