APC Chieftain, Soliu Abu Gbadamosi Appeals to President Bola Tinubu to Prioritise Funding For FUNATO, Cheers Pioneer Leadership of Academic Institution

In a public statement, Engr. (Dr.) Soliu Adebare Abu Gbadamosi, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain and distinguished technocrat from Kajola Local Government Area, Okeho, Oyo State, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to prioritize funding for the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO).

Engr. Gbadamosi began his statement by commending President Tinubu’s historic decision to establish the university and appoint what he called “capable individuals” to key positions within the institution. He also expressed special appreciation to Senator Buhari AbdulFatai Omotayo (PhD), who represents the Oyo North Senatorial District, for his relentless dedication in championing the project.
He praised the senator’s exemplary leadership and commitment to regional development.
The APC chieftain extended his gratitude to other notable figures and groups who were instrumental in the university’s establishment. He recognized the significant role played by leaders of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) and Afenifere, particularly Professor Segun Gbadegesin, for their significant role in the university’s establishment.
Furthermore, Gbadamosi conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the Councils of Obas and Traditional Rulers, as well as the Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF), led by Ahmed Raji (SAN). He lauded their unwavering support and also acknowledged the dedication of political leaders, technocrats, and various other stakeholders in the Oke-Ogun region.
He urged all individuals, groups, and associations to contribute to the university’s development, reminding them that “the Federal University belongs to all.

Gbadamosi extended his congratulations to Professor Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi, the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor and former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ibadan.
