Oyo State has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdul-Rasak Ademola Abdullahi, popularly known as Omo Sheu.

The former lawmaker, who represented Ibadan South East State Constituency I in the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, reportedly passed away on Sunday night after a prolonged battle with a kidney-related illness.
Until his death, Hon. Abdullahi was widely regarded as a grassroots politician whose life was devoted to public service and the wellbeing of his constituents. Throughout his tenure in the Assembly, Omo Sheu distinguished himself through his strong connection with the people, relentless advocacy for community development, and passion for improved social services in Ibadan South East.
