The Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom and Chairman, Traditional Council in Iwajowa Local Government, Area of Oyo State, HRM Oba Abdul Azeez Oyemonla Agunloye IV has extended felicitations to all sons and daughters of the community and the council area by extension, over the successful completion of 2023 and peaceful commencement of 2024.
Oba Agunloye centred his new year’s message on assurance that 2024 would herald desired peace, harmony and prosperity in Iganna Kingdom and Iwajowa Local Government as a whole.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the monarch and made available to news men.
According to him, “as we crossed over to 2024,I wish to celebrate with good people of Iwajowa local government on the occasion of New year celebrations”.
“May the New year herald desired peace,harmony and prosperity in the local government. I urge us to learn from the mistakes of the past year on crisis management and promote peaceful coexistence amongst ourselves irrespective of tribes or religious beliefs”.
Oba Agunloye added, “we need to restore the status of Iwajowa local government as the most peaceful local council in the state”.
“Our youths need to be more tolerant and supportive to their leaders in taking Iwajowa to a greater heights. Violence is antithetical to socio-economic development and all hands must be on deck to heal our wounds come what may and I believe we will”.
“As we celebrate during the New year,we need to sustain moderacy, decorum, vigilance and be law abiding. Wishing u all a peaceful and prosperous 2014”, the monarch prayed.
