The people of Isemi ile and it’s environs in Kajola Local Government, Area of Oyo State have appealed to the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to in his magnanimity assist in the rehabilitation of Isemi ile/Araromi/ Ado-awaye road which needs urgent attention to ease vehicular movement thereby reducing the stress being faced by farmers in effort to transport their farm produce to the market.
Eminent sons and daughters of Isemi ile made the plea at the 5th edition of Isemi ile day which took place last Saturday, November 4 2023.
While speaking,PDP party chairman Kajola Local Government Mr Ojebisi Johnson Adesola, Director for non- governmental organization called RUPEDIN, Princess Victoria Adetona, Member Oyo State House of Assembly for Kajola State Constituency, Hon Azeez Musbaudeen a k a ACTION, CEO Megatop Hotel, Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Olawale Salaudeen(Arula) Alhaji Alidu Olaniyi Omoiya, Chairman Isemi ile day planning committee Mr Ojesanmi Yinka Oyinlade,Baale Igbogaa Chief Michael Olusegun Ojebisi and Agoro of Isemi ile High Chief Abel Aderemi Oke all appealed to Governor Makinde to come to their aid in the repair of the said road.
They took turn to explain how all steps taken to draw the attention of the state government to the road which serves as a link to business hub of Isemi ile Araromi Ado-awaye axis have proved abortive.
They therefore charged the state governor whom they described as a man of the people to do the needful for the betterment of the people of the area.
The speakers also called on Isemi ile Indigenes in diaspora to come home and partake in the overall development of their ancient town.
The epoch event held under the auspices of Onisemi of Isemi ile, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Kaseem Oyebolanle Mustapha Ajibowo the six was organized to raise fund for the development of the town and to promote the spirit of unity and togetherness that defines the people of the community as one entity.
