The 1977 Set Old Students Association of Baptist Primary School, Koso, Iseyin, has reaffirmed its commitment to improving educational standards at their alma mater with a significant donation of branded notebooks to all current students. This initiative marks an upscaling of the association’s “Give Back Project” and follows through on a promise made during the commissioning of a deep well for the school last year.
Speaking at the time of the well’s commissioning, the President of the association, Engineer Kolawole Bello, emphasized the group’s dedication to upgrading the often-deplorable learning conditions at the school. This recent distribution of notebooks is seen as a tangible demonstration of their commitment – “a promise made and a promise kept.”
The official presentation of the customized exercise books is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. on the school premises. The event will feature a lineup of distinguished guests, including the Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government Area, Honourable Fadiran Rasaq Bisi, the Executive Secretary of SUBEB, Oyo North, Mr. Raji Fatai Adebamiji, and other key stakeholders in the local education sector.
The program of events includes welcome addresses from the Headmistress of School III, introductions of guests, and speeches from the President of the Old Students’ Association and the Iseyin Local Government Chairman. Representatives from various educational bodies and the school learners themselves will also be present to witness and participate in the handover ceremony.
This laudable project by the 1977 Set Old Students Association is expected to significantly benefit the students of Baptist Primary School, Koso, by providing them with essential learning materials. It is also hoped that this act of generosity will serve as a challenge and an encouragement for other alumni associations and well-meaning individuals to contribute to the betterment of education within the community.
The association concluded their announcement with a heartfelt message: “Long live Bap Day Sch Koso, Long live 1977 SET.”
